November is always a reflective time for everyone. Everywhere we turn there are messages reminding us to count our blessings, and very soon, we will all be celebrating the quintessential holiday for giving thanks. The directive is right there in the title—no room for subtlety there. Thanksgiving is upon us.
In that vein, I’d like to take the opportunity to share in a bit of thanks giving myself. In anticipating the holiday that comes next, I thought that I would make a list and check it twice:
You
I’ve talked before about how honored I am to be considered an “expert” in this column, and that still holds true. I consider myself so fortunate that you take the time out of your busy lives to read the words that I write. I always try to live up to your expectations and to share information that you can use to make your farm or your crop year better.
My Customers
There is no doubt that my customers are the best part of my job. I love the chance that I have to get to know them throughout the lives of their businesses or farms. I look forward to the opportunities that I have to talk to them about their concerns and to help them find a solution that helps ease those fears. I even like getting to know them personally--hearing stories about their families and their favorite football teams. Many of them are some of my greatest friends, and I’ll always be grateful that they pick up the phone regularly when I call or that they ring my number when they need help.
My Team
Certis Biologicals, unequivocally, has the best team in the industry. Every day, I have the privilege of working alongside this team to provide the solutions that you need for the problems you have today and that you will have tomorrow. Every single one of us is dedicated to our customers, and that’s why we work so hard to make and market our portfolio of products. The agriculture industry is changing quickly these days and I am happy to be part of a team that is leading those changes in the right direction.
Agriculture
Trust me, I am fully aware that our agricultural industry is feeding the growing world and that’s a pretty huge thing to be thankful for. But, I also know that most of us out there are just doing what we love to do—what our parents and grandparents taught us to do. I consider myself quite blessed to be a part of something so awesome alongside some of the most amazing people I know.
Are there some things that you are feeling grateful for this Thanksgiving? Before you break out the turkey and start whipping the yams, take a moment to reach out to me at asktheexpert@certisbio.com and tell me about them. I’m always blessed to hear from you.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.
